Your description of "lapping layers" of meat had me questioning my vegetarian status. Who knew provolone could "interrupt?" Beautiful writing about delicious food!

Love your stories! Grady's mother was a masterful maker of snow cream. That was a real surprise for this Florida gal! And you can't go wrong with peppercorns. Thanks for a good read.
